Celebrating its 25th edition this year, the 'Korea MICE Expo' is the only and largest specialized exhibition for the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) industry in Korea. Since its first event in 2000, it has been held in major cities nationwide on a rotating basis, and has been continuously hosted in Incheon for nine consecutive years since 2016.

On the first day, the 'Korea MICE Awards' ceremony, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Korea Tourism Organization, took place. The awards recognize individuals and organizations that have contributed to the development of the MICE industry over the past year, with a total of 12 awards across 10 categories presented this year.

In the group (attraction) category, the 'Korea Dam Association,' which attracted the International Dam Annual Meeting attended by over 70 countries worldwide, received the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award. In the group (operation) category, 'Intercom,' which successfully managed the 2024 Korea-Africa Summit, was also honored with the Minister’s Commendation.

This year’s expo has expanded its scale compared to last year, increasing the venue from 2 halls to 3 halls at Songdo Convensia, and extending the event duration from 2 days to 3 days.

With 260 companies participating and operating 350 booths, this expo offers various programs including exhibition booth promotions, business consultations, conferences, and a networking dinner (KME Night).

Another notable aspect is that the 'Korea Exhibition Industry Fair,' hosted by the Korea Exhibition Organizers Association, is being held simultaneously in the same space during this year’s expo. This allows attendees to grasp the trends of the MICE industry and meet all industry stakeholders in one place, enhancing professionalism and synergy.

The Korea MICE Association explained, "About 3,000 MICE stakeholders, including 230 domestic and international buyers, attended, with pre-arranged business matching between buyers and sellers exceeding 3,000 cases. Considering on-site consultations, it is estimated that around 4,000 business matchings will be conducted."
