The Funeral Service of the Late Assemblyman Kim Hojin, Presided Over by the Chairman of Jeonnam Provincial Council

The Jeonnam Provincial Council held the funeral ceremony for the late Assemblyman Kim Hojin at the Bitgaram General Hospital funeral hall in Naju on the 6th.

The ceremony was a meaningful occasion to honor the dedication and contributions of the deceased, attended by Kim’s bereaved family, Chairman Kim Taekyun, fellow council members, and officials from the council secretariat.

Also present were National Assemblyman Shin Jeonghun, Naju Mayor Yoon Byungtae, Jeollanam-do Vice Governor Myung Changhwan, and Jeonnam Office of Education Deputy Superintendent Hwang Seonghwan.

The farewell ceremony proceeded for about 50 minutes in a calm and solemn atmosphere, including an opening ceremony, a moment of silence for the deceased, introduction of his biography, eulogy, a broadcast of the deceased’s recorded voice, flower offering and incense burning, and closing.

Chairman Kim, who served as the funeral committee chairman, expressed deep condolences on Assemblyman Kim’s passing through his eulogy and praised his devoted legislative activities.

Chairman Kim Taekyun said, “The life of the deceased, who devoted himself wholeheartedly to public service, was truly beautiful,” and expressed sorrow, saying, “Many things we wanted to accomplish together remain unfinished, and I feel grief that the time granted was so fleeting.”

He continued, “We will engrave in our hearts the late Assemblyman Kim Hojin’s passion and will for regional development and dedication to the residents, and remember him for a long time,” adding, “The Jeonnam Provincial Council will also gather wisdom and capabilities to ensure that the righteous path of public service that Assemblyman Kim walked is well completed to the end.”

The late Assemblyman Kim Hojin was born on March 12, 1977, and was a politician dedicated to the development of Naju City and Jeollanam-do. He served as a member of the 12th Jeonnam Provincial Council.

During the first half of the 12th term, he served on the Health, Welfare and Environment Committee and the Budget and Accounts Committee, and in the latter half, he served on the Planning and Administration Committee and the Council Steering Committee, greatly contributing to the welfare of residents and the development of the local community.

In particular, as a young politician, he worked hard to improve the welfare of local youth and devoted himself to fostering new growth industries in Jeonnam, earning a reputation as a politician with good character and outstanding ability.

Meanwhile, based on the “Regulations on the Jeonnam Provincial Council Chairman,” the Jeonnam Provincial Council formed a funeral committee and an executive committee to carry out this funeral ceremony.

The chairman of the funeral committee is Chairman Kim Taekyun, and the advisors appointed are Governor Kim Youngrok, Joo Cheolhyun, Chairman of the Jeonnam Democratic Party, National Assemblyman Shin Jeonghun (Naju·Hwasun), and Naju Mayor Yoon Byungtae.
