Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 7th that it will hold the 2024 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Guri Square on the 14th.

This event is hosted by Guri City and organized by the Guri City Christian Association, providing an opportunity for citizens to gather, share the meaning of Christmas, and warmly embrace each other despite the cold weather.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri, Shin Dong-hwa, Chairperson of the Guri City Council, city council members, National Assembly member Yoon Ho-jung, Provincial Assembly members Lee Eun-joo and Baek Hyun-jong, Kim Ho-kyung, President of the Guri City Christian Association, and pastors from member churches will participate, along with various attractions and event programs.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri said, “I hope this Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will be a precious time to deliver messages of hope and love to citizens during the year-end and New Year season,” adding, “I expect this light to warmly settle in the hearts of citizens and become a beacon that brightly illuminates Guri City.”
