Lee Jae-myung on Yoon's Statement: "Content Does Not Seem to Be Something the Public Would Readily Agree With"

Lee made this remark in response to questions about President Yoon's address during a meeting with reporters at the National Assembly that day. However, Lee refrained from making a specific statement, saying, "I have not seen the address in detail."

In response to the question, "Do you think Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, will agree to a meeting of party leaders following today's press conference?" Lee said, "I have contacted Leader Han and publicly requested it, but it seems his position is awkward," adding, "At times like this, we need to meet and talk."

Regarding President Yoon's remarks that effectively drew a line against a special investigation into First Lady Kim Keon-hee, calling it "political agitation against the Constitution," Lee said he would announce his position later.

Meanwhile, earlier that morning, President Yoon apologized during the national address and press conference held at the Yongsan Presidential Office regarding recent controversies involving the First Lady, stating, "I believe the president is not a position to make excuses. Everything is my fault and a result of my lack of virtue."
