During the crackdown, 2 cases of illegal modification (tuning), 24 cases of safety standard violations, and 3 cases of negligence in license plate management were detected.
The detected cases will be subject to administrative measures such as fines and restoration according to the Automobile Management Act and the Road Traffic Act. If the vehicle's registered location is outside the jurisdiction, the case will be transferred to the relevant local government for disposition.
Additionally, motorcycle exhaust noise was measured, and violations such as removal of muffler covers (1 case) were identified. Administrative guidance and fines were imposed on noise standard violations causing inconvenience to citizens.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun stated, “To ensure the safety of citizens and a pleasant living environment, we will actively cooperate with related organizations and continue joint inspections and crackdowns on motorcycles.”
