About 150 community leaders and staff attended the event, which was organized under the theme "Compact City - Beyond 20th Century Cities."
Kim Se-yong, President of Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation, served as the lecturer and explained various urban development directions including housing supply by life cycle, spatial welfare, and other aspects in response to social changes such as demographic structure, residents' needs, and lifestyle changes after COVID-19.
Deputy Mayor Park Seong-nam said, "Our Uijeongbu City aims to respond to social changes through 'high-density mixed-use development' and 'creating a walkable urban environment,' with the goal of developing sustainable urban spaces for future generations," adding, "I hope this lecture will help share a hopeful future vision and insights for Uijeongbu."
