Sahakyeongeum Wins Grand Prize at the 15th Gwangju-Jeonnam Social Contribution Festival

Community Development and Creation of Social Value
Recognized for Continuous Efforts

The Private School Teachers' Pension Service (Sahakyeongeum) was awarded the Grand Prize (Governor of Jeollanam-do Award) at the 15th Gwangju-Jeonnam Social Contribution Festival held on the 6th in Dong-gu, Gwangju, in recognition of its contributions to the local community and creation of social value. This event is hosted by Gwangnam Ilbo and is held annually to encourage organizations and institutions that have practiced social responsibility within the region.

At this event, Sahakyeongeum was highly praised for its sincere social contribution activities for the local community as a public institution and won the highest grade, the Grand Prize, one level higher than last year.


Sahakyeongeum has independently established the TP Community Contribution Activity Plan aiming to strengthen ties and co-growth with the local community and has promoted various social contribution activities. In particular, it contributed to the development of the local community by carrying out multifaceted social contribution activities such as educational programs for nurturing talent, scholarships for low-income students in arts and physical education fields, advancement of educational projects following the designation of Naju City as an educational special zone, and support for sales channels for local small business owners.


Song Hajung, Chairman of Sahakyeongeum, stated, “This award is the result of the joint efforts of all Sahakyeongeum executives and employees for co-growth with the local community,” and expressed his aspiration, “We will continue to expand social contribution activities based on ESG management and fulfill our social responsibility as a public institution.”


This award is an achievement born from Sahakyeongeum’s sincere efforts toward ESG management practice and co-growth with the local community, and various social contribution activities for the development of the local community are expected to continue in the future.
