Yoon's National Address and Press Conference Starting at 10 AM
President Yoon Suk-yeol is holding a national and press conference on the 7th, while Park Ji-won, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, emphasized that "at least four things must be made clear at today's press conference."
Park said on CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show' on the morning of the same day, "Today's press conference is a turning point. If we let it slide again here, the people will not forgive and will rise up," emphasizing this point. Park mentioned four things that President Yoon must clarify in this statement: ▲a public apology regarding suspicions such as the Myeongtaegyun Gate ▲reorganization of the presidential office and formation of a national unity cabinet ▲willingness to communicate with the opposition party ▲acceptance of a special investigation into First Lady Kim Kun-hee.

Park said, "Whether today's press conference is a face-to-face debate or an unlimited discussion, it doesn't matter," adding, "The people have already given the correct answer on what to do. If President Yoon Suk-yeol does not change to the extent that the people say, 'Has President Yoon changed that much?' all remedies will be ineffective. I think he should prepare to step down."
He continued, "Advancing the timing of the press conference was a good move," but "the reason for advancing it is because Han Dong-hoon is disliked. Among the people of the Republic of Korea, the person President Yoon hates the most is Han Dong-hoon, even more than Lee Jae-myung," he claimed.
Also, Park said, "Recently, Representative Han Dong-hoon has been doing relatively well, but he still watches President Yoon's mood," adding, "Representative Han said he would follow the will of the people, but if he keeps saying that and tries to follow Yoon Suk-yeol's will, Representative Han will fail." He added, "To say it again, Kim Kun-hee must be removed for Han Dong-hoon's future to exist," and "a strong special investigation must be conducted for the people to accept it."
Meanwhile, President Yoon held a 'National Address and Press Conference' at the Yongsan Presidential Office on the morning of the same day, saying, "Regardless of my efforts, there have been many things that caused concern to the people. People around me also caused worry to the public," and "It is all my fault." He continued, "The presidency is not a position to command. It is all my fault and a result of my lack of virtue. I sincerely apologize. I will take care and look into things so that there will be no inconvenience or worries caused to the people in the future."
