'2024 Second Win-Win Art Exhibition' at Sunchang Seomjingang Art Museum

Artwork Capturing 'Nature'... Exhibition Until Next Month 1st
"Seomjingang, a Source of Inspiration and Energy for Creation"

On the 7th, Sunchang-gun, Jeonbuk announced that it will hold the '2024 Second Win-Win Art Exhibition' at the Seomjingang Art Museum in Jeokseong-myeon from the 12th of this month to the 1st of next month. This exhibition is an opportunity for resident artists who have continued their creative activities in the Seomjingang Artist Village to showcase the artistic fruits of their work over the year.

'2024 Second Win-Win Art Exhibition' at Sunchang Seomjingang Art Museum From the 12th of this month to the 1st of next month, the '2024 Second Win-Win Art Exhibition' will be held at the Seomjingang Art Museum in Jeokseong-myeon, Sunchang-gun, Jeonbuk, embodying the artistic spirit of Sunchang. This is the second exhibition following last year, adding significance as an event that broadens the horizon of local culture and arts. The exhibition features artists Kim Young-hwa, Kim Jeong-im, Kim Tae-hyun, Park Yang-sil, Park Jin-young, Yang Bo-ram, Lee Jeong-ah, and Hwang Geum-hwa.


Artist Park Jin-young expressed special affection for her work in Sunchang, saying, "Seomjingang is a source of creation that provides endless inspiration and energy like an unfailing spring."


Artist Kim Young-hwa shared her thoughts, saying, "Countless battles with myself and harmony with my surroundings have become the material and mission of my artwork," adding, "Fulfilling this mission is about empathy and comfort through painting."


In this exhibition, visitors can experience two-dimensional and three-dimensional works inspired by the nature of Sunchang, reinterpreted with a unique local perspective. The resident artists each present 2 to 4 pieces. The works include various media such as Western painting, bamboo craft, cloisonn? craft, hanji (traditional Korean paper), and metal craft.


A representative of the Seomjingang Art Museum said, "This year's 'Win-Win Art Exhibition' will be an opportunity for local residents to appreciate high-quality artworks and enjoy cultural enrichment," adding, "We will continue to prepare various exhibitions for the development of Sunchang's art and culture."
