Kakao will begin user testing of its hyper-personalized artificial intelligence (AI) service 'Kanana' in the first quarter of next year. A subscription-based model is being considered for monetization.
On the 7th, Jeong Sin-ah, CEO of Kakao, stated during the Q3 earnings conference call, "We will incorporate improvements through an internal closed beta test (CBT) within this year and start a CBT for general users in the first quarter of next year."
Regarding the monetization strategy, she said, "We expect a subscription-based model, but will decide after observing user patterns following the test."
