A whistleblower, Mr. A, a private school teacher affiliated with a private school foundation in Geochang, Gyeongnam, claimed, "Whenever we travel by bus during workshops or outings, people stand in the aisle and engage in drinking and dancing," adding, "They also pressured other staff members to drink." He emphasized, "Although some teachers refuse to join in, the foundation's atmosphere is so hierarchical and closed that they have no choice but to participate when pressured." This matter has been reported to the Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education, which has now launched an investigation. It was revealed that they deliberately avoided enforcement by turning off karaoke machines and fastening seat belts when passing highway toll booths or entering urban areas.
Netizens who heard the news responded with comments such as, "What era is this that they behave like this?", "Who will take responsibility if an accident happens?", "What will students learn from people who violate the law like this?", "Playing is freedom, but doing that on the road is illegal," and "Why even have a mirror ball and karaoke machine on the bus in the first place?"

Meanwhile, if passengers engage in drinking and dancing inside the bus as described, it is the driver, not the passengers, who will be punished. According to Articles 49 and 154 of the Road Traffic Act, drivers must not operate the vehicle while allowing passengers to cause disturbances such as dancing that significantly interfere with safe driving. Above all, drinking and dancing inside a bus are considered major causes of bus accidents. When passengers leave their seats to dance or sing while the bus is in motion, it can distract the driver's concentration. Additionally, failure to wear seat belts during sudden stops or turns can lead to serious accidents.
