SK C&C announced on the 7th the release of 'aTworks 2.0,' an enhanced large-scale application programming interface (API) test automation solution.
APIs facilitate smooth data exchange between different software systems and play an essential role in system testing. aTworks 2.0 significantly simplifies the API testing process compared to the previous version and maximizes user convenience. It allows easy scenario test creation through a drag-and-drop method, adds automated test scheduling utilizing nighttime and early morning hours, and introduces system stability testing features with various load type settings.
Additionally, it provides a reliable testing environment even in critical stability environments such as financial transactions, including specialized testing of TCP/IP communication methods used between financial institutions or systems. The API test throughput has also been expanded to a maximum of 100,000 cases per hour, five times higher than before, enabling fast and stable testing even in large-scale systems.
aTworks 2.0 also newly adds project quality management features, allowing real-time management of development progress.
When a developer completes a test and requests approval from a manager, the manager can directly review and approve the test results, with the process being recorded for project management. The development progress management feature improves the previous method where developers manually registered progress afterward, enabling project leaders to check and approve in real time. This is expected to greatly contribute to quality management in large-scale digital development projects such as next-generation digital transformation (DX) projects.
Furthermore, it supports efficient change management through real-time reflection of API changes and automatic documentation. SK C&C plans to add automatic test data generation features linked with artificial intelligence (AI) coding in the future.
Nam-sik Kim, head of SK C&C’s Financial and Strategic Services Group 1, said, "aTworks is an API test automation solution whose effectiveness has already been proven in large projects at numerous banks and insurance companies. As DX projects utilizing APIs increase, we expect the solution’s utilization to expand further."
