Nam Hyun-hee "Please Let Me Breathe"... Mass Lawsuit Against 30 Malicious Commenters Jeon Hyun-hee, a former national fencing representative accused of being an accomplice in Jeon Cheong-jo's fraud case, is appearing at the Songpa Police Station in Seoul on November 8th of last year.

According to the Seoul Seongdong Police Station on the same day, a complaint was filed at the end of last month accusing 30 netizens of defamation for leaving malicious comments against Nam. Since November last year, Nam has been under investigation without detention on charges of aiding and abetting the fraudulent acts of her former partner Jeon Cheong-jo (28). The police decided not to prosecute Nam in March due to "no charges," but the prosecution requested a reinvestigation.

Additionally, regarding the case in which Nam was reported for violating the Anti-Graft Act after receiving expensive gifts such as a Bentley from Jeon, the police decided not to prosecute in September, stating "it is not a crime." The police explained the reason for non-prosecution as "a romantic relationship does not fall under the Anti-Graft Act."

Furthermore, it is known that Nam received a disciplinary action of a 7-year suspension of her coaching license from the Seoul Sports Council in September. The reasons for the disciplinary action include Nam’s failure to report sexual crimes committed against minor students at the fencing academy she operates, and suspicions of her involvement in defamation by not restraining inappropriate remarks made by her business partner Jeon. At that time, Nam’s side stated, "It is unusual to receive such a severe punishment when no crime was committed," expressing their intention to file a lawsuit.

Jeon was sentenced to 12 years in prison in the first trial for fraud under the Special Act on the Punishment of Specific Crimes, accused of embezzling over 3 billion won by pretending to be an illegitimate child of a chaebol and a wealthy person. He was additionally sentenced to 4 more years in prison for charges including assault and threats against Nam’s middle school nephew and committing fraud by impersonating a chaebol illegitimate child. On the 31st of last month, the prosecution demanded a 20-year prison sentence for Jeon in the appeal trial.
