First Dobong-gu Listed Company in 34 Years... 'Aelux' Achieves KOSDAQ Listing Success

A-LUX, a Drone and Robot Edutech Specialist, Listed on KOSDAQ
Achieved KRW 50 Billion Sales and Grew from 50 to 150 Employees After Moving to Changdong Last Year

An established company has emerged in Dobong-gu for the first time in 34 years.

This is especially meaningful as the appearance of a listed company is rare in the northern Seoul area.

Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that 'Aelux,' a drone and robot edutech specialized company, has been listed on the KOSDAQ market.

Aelux is a company that independently develops and mass-produces coding-based robots and drones. It possesses key technologies such as flight control (FC), sensor fusion, and wireless communication, which are essential components of lightweight drones, expanding its presence not only in the domestic market but also overseas.

Previously, the district actively engaged in creating a corporate ecosystem centered around Changdong Station to support the vigorous activities of local companies. As a result, it established a step-by-step growth support system for startups based at 'Seed Cube Changdong' and 'Seoul Startup Hub Changdong.'

The district helped excellent startup companies from 'Seoul Startup Hub Changdong,' including Aelux, to establish their foundations locally after graduating from residency. After the completion of Seed Cube Changdong, through long-term negotiations with Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation, some spaces were leased with a 65% rent reduction. Aelux indirectly benefited by occupying part of its space at a low rent.

After relocating to Changdong, Dobong-gu, Aelux has rapidly developed. Last year, it achieved sales of 50 billion KRW and increased its workforce from 50 to 150 employees.

The district expects the emergence of a second and third Aelux. To this end, the district plans not only to attract excellent companies but also to nurture youth startups through the Youth Startup Center. It will support education, mentoring, and consulting from the early stages of startups and assist their expansion and relocation to 'Seoul Startup Hub Changdong' and 'Seed Cube Changdong.'

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, “Dobong-gu has been perceived as a difficult place for business activities. But that is no longer the case. An environment where companies can grow and develop has been established. The district will continue to prepare and implement more diverse support policies so that companies can grow on a solid foundation.”
