It continued, "Korea and the United States have maintained a close trade relationship and built a mutually important economic partnership over a long period based on a strong security alliance," emphasizing the bilateral relationship, and stated, "Recently, domestic companies have contributed to job creation and industrial diversification in the U.S. through active investments in advanced industries such as semiconductors and batteries."

Furthermore, it added, "Korea's efforts will continue to play an important role in creating mutual benefits," and "We expect that the cooperative relationship will continue to develop under the second Trump administration, leading to greater economic achievements between the two countries."

The Korea Employers Federation (KEF) said, "We sincerely congratulate candidate Trump on his election as the 47th U.S. president," and added, "We hope that cooperation in all fields, including economy and security, will be further strengthened through close coordination between the two countries based on the firmly maintained Korea-U.S. alliance under the newly launched administration."

It also expressed hope that "both countries will actively work on institutional improvements so that companies from both sides can solidify their economic partnership through freer and more active investments," and added, "The business community will do its best to expand and sustain exchanges in all areas including politics, economy, society, and culture to promote economic cooperation and friendship between the two countries."

The Korea Economic Organization (KEO) stated, "We hope that the new U.S. administration led by President Trump will strengthen the ironclad Korea-U.S. alliance and expand and develop economic cooperation between the two countries based on the Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement (FTA)," and added, "In particular, we expect a friendly investment and trade environment to be created so that Korean companies’ investment and trade with the U.S., which are the core pillars of the bilateral economic relationship, can continue."

KEO also said, "In the midst of new changes, the government and the private sector must work together through a more sophisticated public-private cooperation system to minimize the burden on Korean companies and maximize opportunities," and stated, "KEO will continue to work as Korea’s representative economic channel to the U.S., operating the highest-level private economic cooperation channel between Korea and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to strengthen the partnership between the two countries."
