Local Tourism and Return-to-Farming and Rural Revitalization Business Agreement

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam announced that ‘Babaground,’ a selected company in the 2024 Local Creator Development Project, has signed a business agreement with Yangsan Changgi Rural Experience and Recreation Village.

‘Babaground’ is a company selected in the “2024 Yangsan Local Creator Development Project,” which is being conducted by Yangsan City and the Creative Economy Innovation Center to discover and nurture local entrepreneurs. The company plans to introduce Yangsan’s attractive tourism resources to many people through the local travel and experience platform app ‘Noneunbeop’ and the return-to-farming and rural education platform ‘Noneunbeop Biz (Business),’ in cooperation with rural areas and farms in the Yangsan region. They also plan programs to support successful return-to-farming and rural living for retirees and middle-aged individuals.


This agreement was made at Yangsan Changgi Rural Experience and Recreation Village, where the two organizations pledged mutual cooperation to revitalize distinctive local tourism and return-to-farming and rural education in the Yangsan area.


Heo Jeong, CEO of Babaground, said, “The agreement with Yangsan Changgi Rural Experience and Recreation Village is an important opportunity to provide unique experiences and education through the harmony of local tourism and agriculture. Going forward, we will not only develop Yangsan-style local tourism products but also provide practical support to those preparing for retirement through return-to-farming and rural education.”


Yangsan City is actively conducting the Local Creator Development Project this year, in partnership with the Gyeongnam Creative Economy Innovation Center under a consignment agreement. The project supports companies that create business value by combining ideas based on local resources and cultural characteristics with business funds of 18 million KRW each, and provides startup education and consulting. This year, a total of four local creator companies have been selected and are actively carrying out the project.


A Yangsan City official said, “We will continue to provide unwavering support and efforts so that various contents combining innovative ideas from local startup companies and distinctive resources of our region can spread nationwide and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”
