Special management facilities refer to national infrastructure (energy, healthcare, important government facilities, etc.), industrial complexes, cultural heritage sites, underground interconnected complex buildings, traditional markets, etc., where fire damage can be significant. There are a total of nine special management facilities in the jurisdiction, including power plants, designated cultural heritage facilities, gas supply facilities, and underground ducts.
Since fire prevention and safety management are especially important for these facilities, the fire station plans to continuously strengthen safety through thorough inspections and consulting.
This consulting covered various items including ▲inspection of fire and evacuation plans ▲inspection of the maintenance status of fire and evacuation facilities ▲emergency response organization and education/training ▲safety education for related personnel (CPR, use of emergency escape devices) ▲guidance on initial response actions ▲listening to suggestions and difficulties.
Chief Kang Deok-won said, "If facility safety management is insufficient, it can have a significant impact on the local community," and added, "I hope all related personnel maintain awareness of safety and strive to prevent accidents through thorough management and inspections."
