The cold wave preparation meeting was held to provide guidance on cold wave preparedness actions to vulnerable groups such as the elderly and chronic patients, considering that the incidence of cold-related illnesses such as hypothermia and frostbite is high during winter, and to help them have a healthy winter by distributing cold protection supplies.

The meeting was attended by the head of the Health Promotion Division of the Dongducheon City Public Health Center, the Dongducheon City branch of the Korea Senior Citizens Association, the Hope Keeper Angel Movement Headquarters, and the Welfare Policy Division of Dongducheon City, where they exchanged various opinions to assist vulnerable groups.

A Public Health Center official said, “We will do our best again this year to ensure that the elderly and chronic patients vulnerable to the cold can live healthily.”
