Goyang Agricultural Technology Center to Hold 'Venture Agriculture University Graduation Ceremony' on the 12th

Organizing Agriculture-Specialized and Field Experience Curriculum... Aiming to Train Professional Farmers

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 6th that it will hold the graduation ceremony for the 18th Goyang Venture Agriculture University at the Agricultural Technology Center auditorium on the 12th.

This year, the Venture Agriculture University opened two courses (Agricultural Product Marketing Class, Healing Agriculture Specialist Class) on March 2nd, conducting theoretical and field education, workshops, and advanced site visits.

In particular, to deliver substantial educational content, a large number of field experience subjects such as e-commerce technology education, healing agriculture theory and practice, visits to leading farms and related organizations were organized, receiving positive responses from the trainees, with a total of 57 people graduating this time.

An official from Goyang Special City said, “The Venture Agriculture University provides an agricultural-specialized curriculum differentiated from sporadic and temporary agricultural education. We hope that the trainees systematically acquire agricultural marketing and healing agriculture skills and, through practical courses closely linked to agricultural sites, become professional farmers leading the agricultural paradigm of Goyang City.”

Meanwhile, since starting the eco-friendly class in 2007, Goyang Venture Agriculture University has continued its 18-year tradition this year, serving as a cradle for cultivating agricultural professionals equipped with both farming theory and field practice. As of November 2024, a total of 1,229 professional farmers have been produced, injecting fresh vitality into Goyang City's agriculture.
