Chef Kwon Seong-jun of 'Napoli Mafia,' who appeared on the popular variety show Black and White Chef: The Culinary Class War (hereafter 'Black and White Chef'), announced a new project.

On the 5th, Chef Kwon posted on his social media, "Among hundreds of brands offering various proposals, the only place I contacted first and held a meeting with was 'Dolgodonation.'" He continued, "I have always been very interested in donations and volunteer work, but I hesitated because I didn't know how to start. Then, by chance, I saw a YouTube video that left a good impression, and I thought it would be great to collaborate on a project in the future."

He added, "To get straight to the point, I plan to carry out various donation and volunteer activities toward the end of the year." He said, "I'm not a great person, nor am I wealthy, but I wanted to promote donations and extend my influence before the popularity I gained from the show fades." He further explained, "While I will continue donation activities in various fields, this time I am preparing a wide range of support, including animal shelters for abandoned animals, cat neutering costs, as well as supplies like food and litter. I am focusing on finding good donation channels to use the funds in the most transparent and reasonable way."

He also revealed, "At the end of the year, I will hold a Viatoledo restaurant pop-up event with Dolgodonation, donating all proceeds." Additionally, "I will produce merchandise, and all profits from that will also be donated. Of course, I will personally contribute additional funds." Finally, he added, "The main purpose of this collaboration is to let people know that donations do not require large amounts of money or wealth. I want to share warm hands and attention with abandoned and sick animals."

Dolgodonation is a social cooperative founded by Lee Seung-hwan, the fifth cousin of current chairman Chey Tae-won and grandson of the late Choi Jong-geon, founder of the SK Group. It helps vulnerable groups become healthy members of society and creates a sustainable operating system by transparently disclosing the donation process.

Meanwhile, Black and White Chef is a survival program depicting a culinary class war among 100 chefs, where 'black spoon' chefs?underground masters praised for their exceptional taste?challenge the top star chefs known as 'white spoon' chefs in South Korea. At the time, Chef Kwon appeared under the nickname 'Napoli Mafia,' receiving praise for dishes such as night tiramisu and crab soup pasta, and won the championship by defeating Edward Lee in the final. He currently operates a Western-style restaurant called 'Viatoledo Pastabar' in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
