Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 6th that it successfully held the innovative policy proposal workshop "Akdam (樂談)" at the Pocheon Business Center on the 5th.

The "Akdam (樂談)" workshop was organized to discover creative policy ideas by freely exchanging opinions in a comfortable atmosphere. About 40 employees who participated in the workshop shared ideas on seven areas including work style improvement, low birthrate and aging population, youth and enterprises, and sought ways to innovatively promote administrative tasks.
In particular, this workshop introduced problem-solving methods using artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as Chat GPT.
Employees wrote policy proposals with the support of AI tools, discovering policies efficiently and creatively.
The workshop was conducted comprehensively from policy discovery to proposal writing, PowerPoint (PPT) presentations, evaluation, and awards. Employees were divided into groups and used AI tools to define key issues in each field of Pocheon City, seek solutions, and discover feasible policies. Additionally, each group was assigned a facilitator to enhance the completeness of the final report.
At the final session of the workshop, each group presented their policy proposal PowerPoint. Vice Mayor Kim Jong-hoon, the head of the Planning and Budget Department, and participants selected outstanding policy proposals through on-site voting.
The first place was awarded to "Kids Way Communicating with Nature" in the field of residential environment improvement, second place to "Utilizing the Deo-eum Work Sharing System" in the field of work style improvement, and third place to "Pocheon Food Branding Strategy through Specialization of Idong Galbi" in the field of culture and tourism.
The first-place project, "Kids Way Communicating with Nature," is a plan to create a park-type public kids cafe in Pocheon City to support infant and toddler care, reduce parents' childcare burdens, and strengthen the local community. It is expected to contribute to developing Pocheon City into a child-friendly city by promoting population inflow.
Participants said, "We learned that practical policies that citizens can feel can emerge through the process of facing problems directly and deriving solutions," and "It was beneficial to freely share opinions."
A Pocheon City official said, "We will actively proceed with the implementation so that the policies proposed in this workshop go beyond simple ideas and actually contribute to the development of Pocheon City."
