Discussion on Guri City's Educational Development and Safe Learning Environment Issues
Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 6th that it will hold the "2024 Elementary, Middle, and High School Principals and Parents Meeting" to discuss educational issues with the principals and parents of 32 schools in the district.

The meeting, which began on the 5th and will continue until the 20th, will be held a total of five times. About 140 people will attend, including Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City, officials from the city’s education department, principals of schools in Guri, parent representatives, and operation committee chairs.
The city regularly holds meetings with the education support office and schools every year to ensure that students can receive education in a safe and systematic environment by improving the local educational environment. It is actively working to discuss issues arising in the field of education and to find solutions.
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City stated, “By identifying and promptly addressing and improving problems occurring inside and outside schools, we will create a ‘child-friendly city’ where students can freely pursue their dreams.”
Meanwhile, Guri City operates various projects to create a ‘child-friendly city,’ such as school meal support projects, school uniform support projects, and the Guri Future Education Cooperation District project.
