Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 6th that it will resume the 'Visiting Health Service' at the Jangheung Health Center, which had been suspended due to the COVID-19 situation.
The 'Visiting Health Service' is a project where professionals such as Korean medicine doctors, dentists, nurses, and dental hygienists from the Jangheung Health Center visit senior centers located in Jangheung-myeon within the city to provide various health services.
The services include internal medicine consultations on △management methods for chronic diseases such as blood pressure, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia △education, Korean medicine consultations △health counseling △acupuncture treatment, and dental services such as △simple examinations △fluoride application △scaling appointments.
This project plans to expand from the current once-a-month operation to twice a month (biweekly) to allow more residents to participate.
A Yangju City official stated, "With the resumption of the 'Visiting Health Service,' we expect the health management capabilities and quality of life of residents in medically underserved areas to improve," and added, "Various health projects promoted by the Health Administration Division, such as advance medical directives registration and organ donation registration projects, are underway, so we ask for your active interest."
