NYT "Trump's Election Probability 89%... Estimated to Secure 301 Electoral Votes"

The New York Times (NYT) reported that the probability of former President Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate, winning the election surged to 89% as of 11:46 PM Eastern Time on the 5th (1:46 PM Korean Time on the 6th). The probability of Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris winning is 11%.


The NYT analyzed that former President Trump would secure 301 of the 538 electoral votes, while Vice President Harris would take the remaining 237.

According to the current AP tally, former President Trump has secured 230 votes, leading Vice President Harris, who has 205 votes.


As the vote counting continues, former President Trump is showing an advantage in the seven key battleground states. In North Carolina (16 electoral votes), where 89% of the votes have been counted, Trump is predicted to win with 50.8% of the vote over Harris's 48.1%. In Georgia, with over 95% of the votes counted, Trump leads with 51% to Harris's 48%.


Among the remaining five battleground states, former President Trump is currently favored in Pennsylvania, Arizona, Wisconsin, and Michigan. In Wisconsin and Michigan, Trump leads with 51% and 54% of the vote, respectively, ahead of Vice President Harris.
