Gyeonggi Office of Education to Operate 'Gyeonggi Education Development Special Zone Exhibition Hall' at Local Era Expo

The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has established and is operating the Gyeonggi Education Development Special Zone exhibition hall at the '2024 Korea Local Era Expo,' which opened on the 6th of this month.

The Korea Local Era Expo is co-hosted by the Local Era Committee, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Education, 16 metropolitan and provincial offices of education, and 17 metropolitan and provincial governments. It is being held until the 8th at the Chuncheon Songam Sports Town in Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province.

The Education Development Special Zone is a special educational support policy that strengthens public education and revitalizes regional education through close cooperation among local institutions such as education offices, local governments, universities, and industries.

Through this exhibition hall, the Provincial Office of Education shares the future vision of the Gyeonggi Education Development Special Zone for public education innovation and nurturing local talent under the theme "Leading Transformation Beyond Change" in collaboration with seven pilot local governments.

Accordingly, the exhibition hall is organized into ▲ Education Development Special Zone with Gyeonggi Education ▲ Customized policies for each of the seven pilot regions ▲ Photo art zone and event exhibition corners.

In particular, a large LED screen at the front plays videos on Gyeonggi education vision and policies, and a photo zone is created by producing a map of the Education Development Special Zone and the Gyeonggi Future Education operation system as graphic and three-dimensional diagram sculptures.

Seo Hye-jeong, Policy Planning Officer of the Provincial Office of Education, expressed her expectations, saying, "By participating in the 2024 Korea Local Era Expo, we can present the future vision of the Gyeonggi Education Development Special Zone and enhance the sense of engagement of the educational community through various exhibition contents."
