This agreement was made with the purpose of expanding employment opportunities for foreign students at excellent Korean companies as the world enters the "glocal" era, which combines global and local aspects.

The specialized technical talent development program to be jointly offered by the two institutions for foreign students plans to focus intensively on Korean language and culture education, as well as the technical skills and practical abilities required in future industrial fields.

In particular, in cooperation with the HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Technical Training Center, the program will produce specialized technicians needed in the shipbuilding industry. Foreign students who grow through this program are expected to have opportunities to realize their dream of working stably in Korea, such as gaining employment at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries' partner companies.

Yeungjin College was the only institution selected in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region for the 2021 "Meister University Pilot Project (Professional Technical Master's Program)" and has been operating a master's degree program in mechanical technology since 2022. Based on these educational achievements, it plans to pioneer a new model of customized talent development in cooperation with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries.

Starting with this agreement, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and Yeungjin College plan to continue active exchanges between industry and academia and accelerate the cultivation of excellent talents with global competitiveness.
