The lottery was conducted through a computer program under the supervision of KOMSCO executives and employees as well as officials from the Bank of Korea who were present the day before.
The winners will be announced on the KOMSCO website and shopping mall on the 11th of this month. Distribution will begin on the 19th.
Previously, KOMSCO conducted reservation registrations for the sale of Connected Banknotes on its shopping mall from the 16th to the 25th of last month.
As a result, the reservation quantity for the 50,000 won 2-face set exceeded the sales quantity of 8,000 sets, making a random lottery unavoidable. The competition rate recorded was 2.2 to 1.
Other denominations besides the 50,000 won Connected Banknotes (1,000 won, 5,000 won, 10,000 won 1-face and 4-face sets, each 9,000 sets) had reservation quantities less than the sales quantities, so they will be distributed without a lottery.
However, if the registration information is duplicated or submitted through abnormal methods, the quantity distributed may be less than the quantity applied for.
