EasyBio-Amicogen, 'Business Agreement for Developing Global Feed Additive Enzyme Technology'

Global feed additive company EasyBio announced on the 6th that it has signed a mutual agreement with Korea's leading bio-material company Amicogen for the "joint development and marketing of global feed additive enzymes and beneficial polysaccharide technologies."

Since its establishment, EasyBio has focused on the development, production, and sales of functional special additives to ensure the sustainability of the livestock industry. Currently, it exports self-developed absorption promoters, fermentation agents, and NSP enzymes to over 40 countries worldwide, contributing to cost reduction for farms, conservation of grain resources, and improvement of livestock productivity, thereby leading ESG management in global livestock farming.

Amicogen is a bio materials, parts, and equipment (SoBuJang) company that has led the development of sustainable pharmaceutical industry-related technologies such as protein purification resins, cell culture media, and special enzymes for pharmaceutical manufacturing, which are core materials for biopharmaceuticals.

It possesses numerous new substances and self-developed eco-friendly enzyme technologies that can be immediately applied to the food and livestock markets.

This agreement was made with the purpose of developing enzyme additives for feed by combining EasyBio’s globally verified network and long-standing market insights with Amicogen’s special enzyme and beneficial polysaccharide technology capabilities, and expanding the global sales network.

The global enzyme additive market for feed is estimated to be approximately 2.4 trillion KRW as of this year and is expected to grow to about 3.2 trillion KRW by 2028. Enzymes have been proven to contribute to livestock growth and resource conservation by increasing the bioavailability and utilization of grain resources amid food supply instability caused by climate change and population growth.

EasyBio CEO Hwang Il-hwan said, “Through the agreement with Amicogen, which possesses outstanding bio-technology capabilities, we will diversify our product portfolio and expand our global sales network.” He added, “We have high expectations for market expansion through the sales networks of our own sales corporations in Thailand, Vietnam, and overseas subsidiaries including Devenish Nutrition LLC, a US feed additive specialist company acquired earlier this year.”

Amicogen CEO Park Cheol said, “We are pleased to contribute to solving productivity and environmental issues in the livestock industry and ensuring stable food resource supply through the technology and marketing agreement with EasyBio.” He added, “Starting with this business agreement, we will contribute to the development of the livestock industry with our enzyme technology.”
