Dobong-gu Selects and Announces 50 Carbon-Neutral Restaurants... Check on District Website or Carbon Sympathy Mileage App
Selected Restaurants Receive Benefits Including Energy Saving Consulting
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) has selected 50 carbon-neutral restaurants in the area.
Carbon-neutral restaurants refer to eateries that practice carbon neutrality by saving energy, reducing the use of disposable products, and more.
Carbon-neutral restaurants can be found on the Dobong-gu website or the Carbon Sympathy Mileage app. They can also be identified by the information plaques displayed at the restaurants.
Selected restaurants receive energy-saving consulting and energy-saving supplies, and are awarded 30,000 Carbon Sympathy Mileage points.
Customers who use carbon-neutral restaurants can also earn Carbon Sympathy Mileage points starting this month by verifying receipts, etc. They can accumulate 100 mileage points per week, up to a maximum of 5,000 points annually.
Carbon Sympathy Mileage points can be redeemed for Dobong Love Gift Certificates, a local currency, with 1 mileage point equivalent to 1 KRW.
The district previously launched a search for carbon-neutral restaurants to find eateries leading energy-saving and green living practices and to foster a carbon-neutral culture in the area.
Comprehensive evaluations were conducted on energy-saving practices, zero waste implementation, and Carbon Sympathy Mileage membership, followed by on-site assessments by the restaurant search team, resulting in the selection of 50 carbon-neutral restaurants.
Going forward, the district plans to promote initiatives such as ‘Finding My Recommended Restaurants,’ ‘Uploading My Own Restaurant Map,’ and ‘Seasonal and Category-based (date, company dinner, etc.) Recommended Restaurant Tour Courses’ to boost the pride of restaurants and encourage more residents to use them.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, “We will continue to select carbon-neutral restaurants so that all eateries in the area can practice carbon neutrality.”
