Discussion on Utilizing Smart Address Information Facilities for Building the 'Dasan Jeong Yak-yong's City' Brand
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 5th that it held a meeting on the 4th at Kyungbok University to promote the branding of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong using smart address information facilities.

This meeting was organized to discuss ways to link the city’s ‘Smart Address Information Facility-based Administrative Service Platform,’ the first of its kind nationwide, with the Jeong Yak-yong branding project.
The meeting was attended by related officials including the Director of Urban Affairs of Namyangju City, the Head of Real Estate Management Division, the Head of Road Name Address Team, as well as Ham Do-hoon, Director of Kyungbok University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, Kim Dae-jin, Deputy Director, Yoon Young-hoon, Head of Headquarters, Professor Shin Hyo-young of the Software Convergence Department, and Professor Kim Joo-hee of the Department of Visual Media Content at Kyungbok University.
The attendees shared the current status of the smart address information facilities and exchanged opinions on ways to link with the Jeong Yak-yong branding project, utilization of AR·VR technology, design development, and enhancement of platform functions.
In particular, ideas such as △improving the design of smart address information facilities reflecting the Jeong Yak-yong brand △producing location-based augmented reality (AR) content △enhancing the functions of the smart address information platform were proposed, and specific cooperation plans were sought to realize these by utilizing Kyungbok University’s excellent human resources and technological capabilities.
A Namyangju City official stated, “Our goal is to naturally embed the spirit of Dasan into the city and citizens’ daily lives by utilizing smart address information facilities, and we will closely cooperate with Kyungbok University,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to collaborate with various fields so that citizens can enjoy a more convenient life.”
