On the 5th, the deputy head of a mobility company announced that they will conduct the "Idle Parking Space Brokerage Program" through 'Hanbang,' the real estate transaction information network of the Korea Association of Realtors.
Idle parking spaces refer to parking spots that are not used during the daytime due to reasons such as users commuting to work. This program is a project to build a system that allows generating revenue by utilizing idle parking spaces.
The main customers are licensed realtors. They manage idle parking spaces near their brokerage offices and broker these spaces to customers who want to use the parking lots, receiving 20% of the parking fee revenue as a commission. Through this, licensed realtors can secure stable income in addition to brokerage fees.
A deputy head official stated, "Parking lots attached to residential real estate are often unused during the daytime," adding, "If licensed realtors can utilize these spaces to generate income and provide opportunities for business innovation, it will greatly help stabilize the real estate brokerage market."
This program is a demonstration project promoted as part of the 'Gyeonggi-do Type Innovation Open Innovation Support Project' by the Gyeonggi Center for Creative Economy and Innovation. After the demonstration period, it will be exposed through an app currently being developed by INE. The demonstration period lasts until the 28th. During this period, the first 100 licensed realtors who submit candidate sites for idle parking spaces will receive a benefit of 20,000 KRW per parking space section. Applications can be made by accessing the Korea Association of Realtors' nationwide transaction information network 'Hanbang' and proceeding through the 'Alseonin' banner at the top right corner.
