Visually Impaired Person with Guide Dog Receives Consideration from Citizens
A guide dog falling asleep as if collapsing on the subway has been captured, delivering a heartwarming impression.
On the 27th of last month, a thread user named A wrote a post titled "The warmth I felt on the crowded subway during my commute," saying, "The Line 3 downbound train during the morning commute is really packed like a can of soybeans, but suddenly it felt even more cramped," and "So I looked and saw a visually impaired person and a guide dog boarding."
The photo he posted showed a Labrador Retriever wearing a 'Guide Dog' badge lying down and asleep on the subway floor. Although the subway car was full, passengers kept their distance so as not to accidentally step on the guide dog. As A described, the guide dog rested its head near the feet of a female passenger sitting at the end of the car.
A continued, "An older man offered his seat, but the visually impaired person insisted they would get off soon and initially refused, but eventually sat down." He added, "The guide dog cutely settled down in front of its owner and flopped over. It was so adorable I thought I might faint." He also said, "What was even funnier was that the guide dog lay down on the feet of the woman sitting at the end, and she seemed quite uneasy when she was about to get off."
In response to this story, netizens commented, "The guide dog must have been very tired," and "It's heartwarming to see citizens protecting the guide dog from harm."
Guide dogs undergo special training to assist visually impaired people who cannot see, helping them walk safely. The visually impaired person holds a guiding ring attached to the guide dog's body while walking. As a reliable companion, the guide dog significantly reduces the inconveniences and restrictions in daily life and greatly contributes to safer activities. When visually impaired people and guide dogs are walking, bystanders need to be especially careful not to feed or pet the guide dog.
