Goyang-si 'Haeum, Saedeul', Weekend 'Workshop for Everyone' Operation

Open Studio for Artists to the Public from 8th to 10th

The art creation spaces Haum and Saedeul (hereinafter ‘Haum, Saedeul’), operated by Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan), will open their studios to the public from the 8th to the 10th.

According to Goyang Special City on the 5th, an art creation space or ‘residency’ refers to a cultural and artistic institution that provides affordable studios to artists and operates training programs.

Overseas, it is also called ‘Artist-in-Residence’ and is firmly established in the art world as a global and extensive institution supporting artistic creation.

‘Haum, Saedeul’ designates the second weekend of November as the ‘Open Studio’ period, fully opening the studios to everyone. ‘Open Studio’ is a festival commonly held annually by residencies worldwide, fully opening the studios of resident artists to citizens and external experts.

During the event, ‘Haum, Saedeul’ will offer a variety of programs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will be filled with diverse side events enjoyable for all ages, including studio openings, curated exhibitions, sticker tours, art experience programs led by the artists themselves, and flea markets.

On Sunday, the ‘Haum Saedeul Pitching Day’ program will provide an opportunity to hear the achievements of 13 resident artists intensively in one place along with art experts. Additionally, you can see the results of programs conducted together by ‘Haum, Saedeul’ resident artists and citizens all in one place.
