Democratic Party Releases 'Second-by-Second' Audio Recordings... Total of 3 Files
Mentions Mr. Ham, Known to Be Close to President Yoon
An audio recording has been released in which Myung Tae-gyun, a key figure suspected of interfering in Kim Geon-hee's nomination process, tells an acquaintance, "Hahm Seong-duk calls me Maitreya Bodhisattva."
On the 5th, the Democratic Party of Korea released three audio files containing Myung's voice through a press notice. The files are 24 seconds, 6 seconds, and 17 seconds long, respectively. According to the transcript, Myung tells his acquaintance, "People in Seoul think you are not even human, so they can't consider you a competitor," and adds, "They just see you as a Buddha."

Myung also boasts about communicating with Hahm Seong-duk, dean of the Graduate School of Political Studies at Kyonggi University, saying, "I told Hahm Seong-duk, who is Yoon Sang-hyun's closest friend." Representative Yoon Sang-hyun served as the People Power Party's nomination management committee chairman during the general election period. Dean Hahm is known to be a neighbor of President Yoon Seok-youl and has close ties with the president's family. In May, Representative Yoon refuted claims made by Hahm in a media interview that he had covertly coordinated a dialogue between President Yoon and Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myung.
The short 6-second recording contains Myung's voice saying, "I have no power, nothing at all, but I have foresight, so I see the future in advance."
The last file includes Myung mentioning during a conversation with an acquaintance, "Yoon Sang-hyun will go and make a big fuss again, crying and yelling. They say I'm a son of a b****." The Democratic Party stated that this file appears to be from a time when pressure was being applied to former nomination committee chairman Yoon regarding the nomination of former lawmaker Kim Young-sun, which was not going well.
