Damyang-gun to Conduct 'Household Housing Basic Survey' from 8th to 27th

Survey of Vacancy Status and Housing Types for Over 21,000 Households in the District

On the 5th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will conduct the "2024 Household and Housing Basic Survey" targeting about 21,000 households (including vacant houses) in the area from the 8th to the 27th.

The Household and Housing Basic Survey, conducted every five years, is a large-scale national statistical survey led by Statistics Korea and cooperated by local governments to verify basic information on all residences and households nationwide for accurate survey district setting of next year's Population and Housing Census and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Census.

This year's survey targets the residential household registry in the area, and the survey items include 14 categories such as address, type of residence, vacancy status, rooftop and (semi-)basement status, total number of rooms, housing facilities, and whether it is an agricultural or forestry household. The survey will be conducted through on-site visits by surveyors who fill out the information using tablet PCs, as well as telephone surveys via call centers.

The survey data will be used solely for statistical purposes and strictly protected under Article 33 of the Statistics Act, prohibiting use for any purposes other than statistics.

A Damyang-gun official urged, "As this is an important survey to grasp the basic information of national statistics, we ask for active participation."
