Last year, ‘Gugugu Festa’ showcased the essence of festivals with new attempts across three districts of Guri City. This year, it was changed to a format that collaborates with festivals hosted by the residents' autonomy (committee) of seven neighborhoods in Guri City, supporting diverse programs such as invited singers and side events, enhancing the professionalism of the Guri Cultural Foundation and raising the level of neighborhood festivals to a new height.
Starting off, on September 7th, singer Park Ki-young appeared at the Sutaek 3-dong festival, warming the atmosphere with her beautiful voice. Then, on September 28th, trot singer Park Gu-yoon graced the stage at the Donggu-dong festival, providing a joyful time that everyone, young and old, could enjoy together.
On October 5th, in Gyomun 1-dong, jazz singers Maria Kim and Bomi Choi delivered a sweet jazz performance, offering a special musical impression. On October 19th, at Gyomun 2-dong, singer Kim Beom-ryong, famous for ‘Baram Baram Baram,’ appeared and received enthusiastic responses from the residents.
At the Sutaek 2-dong festival on October 26th, Jung Soo-ra, known for ‘Ah! Republic of Korea,’ performed and received great love from the audience. Finally, on November 2nd, singer Min Hae-kyung took the main stage in Galmae-dong, and singer Park Sang-chul performed in Sutaek 1-dong, brilliantly decorating the festival finale.
In addition, the Guri Cultural Foundation planned various programs such as magic, bubbles, and light painting to make the neighborhood festivals more splendid and abundant.
Jin Hwa-ja, CEO of the Guri Cultural Foundation, stated, “The Guri Cultural Foundation is constantly striving to create a happy Guri City through culture and arts,” adding, “We will continue to make every corner of Guri City a happy city through culture and arts with even more diverse cultural and artistic programs.”
