Pocheon City to Hold 'Hantangang Columnar Jointing Trail Walking Event' on the 9th

Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 5th that it will hold the "Pocheon Hantangang Columnar Jointing Trail Walking Event," where participants can enjoy the scenery of Hantangang Geopark amidst the autumn atmosphere, from 9 AM to 12 PM on the 9th.

This walking event features a diverse course along the spectacular views of Hantangang, including Pigeon Nang Waterfall, Hantangang Sky Bridge, Hantangang Ecological Landscape Complex, and the newly opened Y-shaped suspension bridge this year. Participants can admire the majestic Hantangang columnar joint canyon and the autumn foliage scenery.

Pre-registration is open until the 7th. Applications can be made online through Naver Smart Store, and the participation fee is 10,000 KRW. On-site registration is also available on the day of the event, but since participation is limited to the first 300 people, early registration is recommended for those who wish to join.

A Pocheon city official said, "We hope this event, which allows citizens to experience the beauty of the Hantangang UNESCO Global Geopark up close, will provide a special experience to many people," adding, "The newly opened Y-shaped suspension bridge this year will add a unique charm to the event."
