After receiving the report, the police who arrived at the scene found 80 gecko lizards and 15 snakes dead from starvation inside the house. Subsequently, the animal protection center, which was called in to assist by the police, rescued 152 live lizards and 4 snakes.

In other words, the tenant, Mr. A, had neglected a total of about 250 animals, including 232 lizards and 19 snakes, for a long period.

The shelter estimated, based on the condition of the carcasses, that the animals had likely been neglected for about two months.

It was reported that Mr. A only contacted the landlord after the landlord reported the situation to the police. According to the media, he told the landlord that he had gone to another region to work due to financial difficulties.
