Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) will hold regional roundtable meetings to share the vision for educational development following its selection as a pilot area for the Educational Development Special Zone.

The roundtable meetings will begin on the 4th in the Soheul area, followed by the Ildong area on the 5th, the Yeongjung area on the 6th, and the Gunnae area on the 8th.

The meetings are organized to introduce key projects of the Educational Development Special Zone to education stakeholders such as teachers and parents, share the vision for educational development, and gather on-site opinions. Based on the collected feedback, the city plans to explore educational development measures that reflect Pocheon's unique characteristics.

A Pocheon city official stated, "We will incorporate citizens' opinions into education policies to establish a distinctive Educational Development Special Zone model unique to Pocheon."

Meanwhile, Pocheon, selected as a pilot area for the Educational Development Special Zone in July, has established a differentiated plan centered on a total of 12 detailed implementation tasks.

Key projects include expanding the Pocheon Aebom Neulbom policy, providing one-stop integrated support services tailored to students, promoting the establishment of an international multicultural alternative school for multicultural students, and operating a career and academic coaching center.
