In this special lecture, Mayor Joo emphasized the 'Gongnyeom' spirit of Dasan Jeong Yak-yong, which means "working with integrity for fairness, equity, and public interest," and spoke about the fundamental attitude that public officials should have.
In particular, Mayor Joo explained the concept of "Cheonsang Cheonha Yuadokjon" (Heaven and Earth, Only I Am Honored), saying, "Each individual is a precious living being and needs a heart that respects and cherishes oneself," and recited poet Na Tae-ju's poem "Pulkkot" (Wildflower) together, reflecting on the precious value of life.
Mayor Joo also added, "Communication by public officials gains vitality through prompt access, proactive attitude, and sincere heart," and said, "These principles are the way for public officials to solve community problems together."
The city is promoting various educational projects based on the legacy of Jeong Yak-yong, such as the "1st Jeong Yak-yong Talent Development Camp Opening the Future," and is actively supporting the reflection of Dasan's educational philosophy in the city's educational projects.
