[Concall] NC "Next Year, Headquarters Staff to be Reduced to 3,000 Level"

Hong Won-jun, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of NCSoft, stated during the Q3 earnings conference call on the 4th, "After the restructuring process (including voluntary retirement), we plan to reduce the number of headquarters employees to the 3,000 range next year."

He said, "Even when looking at competitors, we believe the dynamic aspects of the studio system are necessary for us as well," adding, "after the spin-off, the studios will be operated like individual ventures."

Regarding the possibility of studio corporations going public, he said, "An IPO is a very good scenario when a virtuous cycle is established, so there is no reason to exclude it," but added, "However, at this stage, survival is the priority and it is important to show the market our progress, so it is too early to discuss whether to go public."
