Lotte Mart, operated by Lotte Shopping, announced on the 5th that it will hold the second phase of the grocery shopping festival "Thank You Festival" for one week from the 7th to the 13th. The Thank You Festival is the first integrated discount event focused on groceries by Lotte Mart and Lotte Super held in November.

Similar to the first phase of the Thank You Festival, which is scheduled to run until the 6th, Lotte Mart will offer ▲"Thank You One-Day Special," a super special sale for just one day ▲and "Thank You Weekend Special," a discount sale on major food items over the weekend.

First, the Thank You One-Day Special will be held at all stores for three days from the 7th to the 9th, with different items each day. On the 7th, paprika will be sold at a limited price of 890 KRW each when paid with the event card, and "Sandeomi Green Onion Beef Bulgogi (800g)" will be offered at 12,900 KRW per pack, a 50% discount from the usual price.

On the 8th, "Domestic Fresh Whiteleg Shrimp (100g)" will be sold to L.Point members at a 20% discount for 2,392 KRW, and "CJ Hetbahn Organic Cooked Rice (210g×12 packs)" will also be available to L.Point members for 9,980 KRW. On the 9th, onions (1.5 kg) will be sold for 2,960 KRW, and all PongPong products will be 60% off each when purchasing two or more with the event card.

The "Thank You Weekend Special" for weekend customers will also be introduced. From the 7th to the 10th, "U.S. Choice Chuck Eye Roll (100g, refrigerated)" will be sold at half price for 1,590 KRW. Until the 13th, "Seoul Sterilized White Milk (200ml×24)" will be offered at 10,980 KRW.

For the weekend, cost-effective beers under 1,000 KRW will also be sold. From the 7th to the 9th, for three days, "National Beer Lager (500ml)" will be sold exclusively at a special price of 990 KRW per can when paid with the event card. Additionally, for two days from the 9th, "Canadian Pork Belly and Neck (100g, refrigerated)" will be sold at a 50% discount for 990 KRW with the event card, limited to two packs per person.

In the deli corner, chicken priced in the 6,000 KRW range will be offered. From the 7th to the 10th, "Whole Gaadeuk Chicken (pack, domestic)" will be sold at a 50% discount for 6,495 KRW with the event card, in limited quantities. "ALL NEW Shrimp Sushi (20 pieces)" will be available to L.Point members at a 40% discount for 11,994 KRW until the 13th. For fruits, "Yeongdong Non-Destructive Sweetness Selected Shine Muscat (2 kg)" will be sold to L.Point members at 9,990 KRW with the event card, and "Busa Apples (4~6 pieces, bag)" will be sold for 6,990 KRW after a 2,000 KRW discount for L.Point members.

In addition, discount promotions will be held on processed foods, detergents, and coffee. A 1+1 promotion will be offered on 30 types of spoonable yogurts including Binggrae Yoplait Light (80g×4) and 8 types of bagged ramen such as "Ottogi Guljin Jjambbong (4 packs)." A 1+1 benefit will also be provided on all single-item room temperature and refrigerated coffees. All Persil liquid detergent products and Bref brand products will be 50% off when purchasing two or more.

Kang Hye-won, head of marketing at Lotte Mart and Lotte Super, said, "Customer response to the first phase of the Thank You Festival, including half-price Korean beef and snow crab as well as one-day special sales, has been generally enthusiastic," adding, "In the second phase of the Thank You Festival, we will continue to lead efforts to ease customers' shopping burdens by offering fresh, processed, and deli items as well as non-food products at reasonable prices, just like in the first phase."

Meanwhile, the number of consumers visiting Lotte Mart surged during the first week of the Thank You Festival. On the 31st of last month, an open-run occurred at most Lotte Mart stores as customers rushed to purchase the first phase one-day special item, "Grade 1 Korean Beef Soup Cut and Bulgogi (100g, refrigerated)." From the 31st of last month to the 3rd of this month, total sales of livestock products increased by 70% compared to the Korean Beef Day event period (October 26-29, 2023).
