On the 4th, the Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that on the 1st, they sent four individuals, including opposition figure Seo and MBC reporter Lim, to the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office on charges of violating the Personal Information Protection Act.

This comes about a year and six months after Kim Min-seok, a member of the Gangseo District Council, filed a police complaint against Seo, who had provided him with materials, alleging that there was evidence of the leak of personal information of Han, including resident registration excerpts and real estate sales contracts of Han's family, in April last year.

The police have identified that materials Han submitted to the National Assembly while preparing for the confirmation hearing were leaked externally, and in the process, they found evidence that Lim received Han's personal information materials through the National Assembly and passed them to Seo, and have been tracing the leak route.
