'Jangheung Yuchi · Suncheon Nagan' Providing Convenience for Residents
One-Stop Service for Application and Reception Inconveniences
The Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office announced on the 4th that it will operate a "Visiting Land Purchase On-site Civil Service Office and Resident Briefing Session" over two days, on the 5th and 6th, in Yuchi-myeon, Jangheung-gun, and Nakan-myeon, Suncheon-si, to provide convenience to residents in the land purchase project areas for water source protection.
The land purchase project is being promoted to improve water quality by having the government purchase land upstream of water sources such as Juamho Lake within the Yeongsangang and Seomjingang river basins, removing pollution sources, and creating and managing riparian green spaces.
The on-site civil service office and resident briefing sessions are held annually to minimize inconveniences such as mobility difficulties, lack of information, and challenges in filling out sale application forms, as well as to provide project guidance and collect residents' opinions.
The target areas were selected as villages around two rivers (Yuchicheon and Seokheungcheon) that require focused management due to many pollution sources near the rivers. On the 5th, the sessions will be held at the village halls of Gwandong and Joyang villages in Yuchi-myeon, Jangheung-gun, and on the 6th, at Seokjeong and Pyeongsa villages in Nakan-myeon, Suncheon-si.
On-site, Yeongsangang Office staff responsible for land purchase and post-management will provide one-on-one, one-stop services from consultation to application and reception, promote the importance of the land purchase project, and receive complaints regarding inconveniences related to the management of purchased land.
Kim Young-woo, head of the Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office, said, "We hope that this user-centered visiting administrative service will be of practical help to local residents wishing to sell their land," and added, "We ask for active participation and interest in this on-site civil service office and resident briefing session."
