The Department of Early Childhood Education at Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Tae-sang) held a "Good Teacher Pledge Ceremony" on the 31st of last month, attended by the department faculty and first- and second-year students, ahead of the third-year students' school field practice.
At the ceremony, 39 third-year students marched on stage holding candles while a video expressing their determination as teachers was played on the event hall screen, reaffirming their commitment to becoming good teachers. The event proceeded with encouraging speeches from the department professors followed by viewing a support video produced by the first- and second-year students.
Kim Sae-yeon, the representative of the third-year students, shared her thoughts, saying, "With the warm encouragement and support from the professors and juniors, I will become a good teacher with the right attitude and mindset based on what I have learned and experienced over the past three years."
Department Head Kim Shin-gon stated, "The Department of Early Childhood Education at Gyeongnam Information University earned an A grade, ranking in the top 10% nationwide in the teacher training institution competency evaluation, which externally recognizes the excellence of our curriculum. We expect that today's pledge by our students to become good teachers will serve as a strong foundation for their future teaching careers."
