Pocheon-si Yeongjung-myeon Holds 'Love Briquette Delivery' Event with Daejin University

Yeongjung-myeon, Pocheon City, held a "Love Briquette Delivery" event for underprivileged neighbors on the 1st in collaboration with Daejin University.

Yeongjung-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi Province, held a 'Love Briquette Delivery' event for underprivileged neighbors on the 1st in collaboration with Daejin University (President Lim Young-moon).

The recipients of this support were low-income households with high heating costs, such as elderly living alone and basic livelihood security recipients in Yeongjung-myeon. A total of 3,000 briquettes were delivered, with 500 briquettes per household to six households.

About 30 faculty and staff members from Daejin University participated in the event, personally delivering briquettes and practicing warm sharing.

Im Chun-hwan, Director of General Affairs at Daejin University, said, "I am grateful to the faculty and staff who volunteered for the local community. We will continue to carry out volunteer activities to support the underprivileged."

Jo Dae-ryong, Mayor of Yeongjung-myeon, said, "We appreciate Daejin University's continuous interest and warm sharing. We will do our best to systematically connect welfare resources and beneficiaries so that neighbors in need can maintain a healthy life."

Meanwhile, Daejin University continues to foster neighborly love and coexist with the local community through annual briquette sharing for underprivileged neighbors.
