Carrysoft and Code Fantasia Develop AI-Based Animation Production Technology

Content company Carrysoft announced on the 4th that it has signed an agreement with AI digital actor technology company Code Fantasia to jointly develop and commercialize generative AI-based 3D animation production technology.

Park Kwan-woo, CEO of Code Fantasia, is regarded as one of the top domestic experts in the field of computer graphics (CG), widely used in movies and dramas. Carrysoft stated that by appointing Park Kwan-woo as a director of Carrysoft this year, the cooperative relationship between the two companies will be realized as an actual business.

Furthermore, both companies share the same goal in pursuing competitiveness in content production. They plan to establish a hybrid production pipeline combining game engine production methods and generative AI production methods to enhance the quality and cost competitiveness of 3D animation.

Carrysoft has secured superior efficiency and productivity compared to traditional production methods over the past three years by building a 3D animation production pipeline linked with game engines and motion capture. This has been practically applied to TV series and theatrical animation productions.

Code Fantasia is focusing on developing AI application technologies such as digital actors that implement the facial expressions of star-level actors through AI onto 3D characters.

Park Chang-shin, CEO of Carrysoft, said, "Until now, we have focused on kids’ animation and video content based on our own intellectual property (IP), but going forward, through collaboration with Code Fantasia, which has diverse production experience in movies and dramas, we will develop the company into a comprehensive content enterprise."
