Attracting 10 Industries Including Food and Chemicals
Buyeo County in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 4th that it will establish the Buyeo General Industrial Complex to attract businesses in the battery, food, and chemical industries.
The Buyeo General Industrial Complex will be constructed in Jeongdong-ri and Mujung-ri, Hongsan-myeon, covering an area of 463,134 square meters, and is scheduled for completion in 2028.
The county plans to attract companies from a total of 10 industries, including batteries, food, and chemicals.
This year, the county will proceed with land acquisition, removal of standing trees, and investigations of buried cultural assets, with construction set to begin in the first half of next year.
Additionally, construction of public wastewater treatment facilities, industrial water supply facilities, and access roads will also commence in the first half of next year.
The Buyeo General Industrial Complex boasts excellent transportation accessibility due to its proximity to the Seobu Buyeo Interchange.
In particular, with the opening of the Buyeo-Pyeongtaek Expressway this year, it takes only one hour to reach the Seoul metropolitan area, and 40 minutes to the Saemangeum National Industrial Complex, Sejong, and Daejeon.
The county plans to provide various incentives such as local investment promotion subsidies, as well as financial and administrative support for attracting businesses.
In addition, through the 'Worker Residential and Vitality Town Development Project' currently underway in Guyam-myeon, the county will provide accommodations, job matching services, and convenience facilities for local workers.
County Governor Park Junghyun stated, "The Buyeo General Industrial Complex is a project that lays the foundation for the region's future and industrial development," adding, "We will do our best to create quality jobs and revitalize the local economy by attracting excellent companies linked to existing local industries such as agriculture and tourism."
