Enjoying Stage Performances Such as Popera, Busking, and Bubble Magic
Yongsan-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) will hold the '2024 Itaewon Playground' event on the 9th from 2 PM to 6 PM around Noksapyeong Square in Itaewon to revitalize the Itaewon Tourism Special Zone.
The event offers a variety of attractions and activities such as stage performances, play booths, and character photo zones so that all visitors to Itaewon, both Koreans and foreigners, men and women, young and old, can enjoy. Visitors can stroll through the streets of Itaewon under the clear and bright autumn weather while enjoying various stage performances and interesting play experiences.
Stage performances include pop opera, busking, and bubble magic, which match the autumn atmosphere. In addition, the Yongsan-gu Disabled Community Center will operate a beverage sharing booth as part of the 'Disability Awareness Improvement Project,' providing free drinks such as coffee to visitors at the event. The Yongsan-gu Volunteer Center's Magic Balloon Volunteer Group will run a 'Balloon Art' booth, offering various visual attractions.
Furthermore, a famous YouTuber will conduct a live broadcast to promote the Itaewon Tourism Special Zone and the event site in real time, and a 'mobile character photo zone' will be operated to provide small joys to visitors to Itaewon.
District Mayor Park Hee-young said, "We are making various attempts and efforts to revive the commercial district around Itaewon, and this event is part of those efforts," adding, "We hope you enjoy this event and also experience the unique culture of Itaewon, such as the World Food Culture Street and the Antique Furniture Street."
