K Bank Launches 'Curious Savings' with Up to 7.5% Annual Interest Rate

K Bank announced on the 4th that it will launch a new deposit product called 'Gunggeumhan Jeokgeum' (Curious Savings), which adds curiosity with daily random interest rates and stories.

'Gunggeumhan Jeokgeum' is a newly introduced one-month maturity savings product by K Bank. As the product name suggests, it is designed with a concept that allows customers to be interested in random interest rates every day. If customers deposit into the savings once a day through the K Bank app during the month, they receive a daily random interest rate and can enjoy a new story featuring cute characters.

The daily deposit amount can be selected differently according to the day's situation, ranging from a minimum of 100 won to a maximum of 50,000 won. The maximum deposit amount for one month is 1,550,000 won. The random preferential interest rate ranges from a minimum of 0.1% per annum to a maximum of 1.0% per annum.

The interest rate applied to the total amount deposited over the month is the basic interest rate of 1.5% per annum plus the preferential interest rate randomly received each day. If deposits are made every day without fail for 31 days, customers can receive up to 7.5% per annum. This is the highest interest rate level among one-month maturity savings products in the industry.

A feature of this savings product is that even if the daily deposit opportunity is missed, the daily provided interest rate is random, so there is a high chance and opportunity to receive a high interest rate. It motivates customers to continue depositing without giving up halfway. Only one savings account can be opened per customer, and re-enrollment is possible upon cancellation.

The first character to lead the daily stories is 'DinoTang,' a popular character among the MZ generation. DinoTang is an IP with a solid fandom, telling the story of Quokka and friends and family whose biggest goal is to find marshmallows in a small village. In 'Gunggeumhan Jeokgeum,' the main character, the innocent 'Quokka,' and friends solve mysteries written in mysterious letters over 31 episodes.

The story, which opens once a day, stimulates fun and curiosity, making customers look forward to the next day's story. Opened stories accumulate by episode, allowing customers to read the entire series as if turning pages of a book. Changes to episodes will be made seasonally in the future.

To commemorate the product launch, an event offering DinoTang merchandise has been prepared. Customers who subscribe to Gunggeumhan Jeokgeum by the 4th of next month will be entered into a draw where 3,000 winners will receive a DinoTang pouch. Winners will be announced in December. Additionally, there is an SNS event where posting stories on Instagram according to the conditions will enter participants into a draw to receive a DinoTang keyring.
